Anthony M. Figliola brings over 16 years of experience in multiple disciplines: government affairs, communications & marketing, economic development, and business development.

Anthony has leveraged his vast public and private sector experience to assist clients from start-up to enterprise level on navigating through the government bureaucracy.

As Vice President of Empire, Anthony has developed a series of unique strategies that have helped his clients achieve enormous success throughout New York State. Some of those successes include: defeating harmful taxes on the transportation and entertainment industries, helped to pass groundbreaking electronic waste laws, fought to protect Long Island’s fragile drinking water, while  securing tens of millions in funding for renewable energy projects, building and managing regional and statewide public outreach and advocacy campaigns for national trade groups and corporations, as well as securing over $800 million in capital incentives for businesses and local governments resulting in over 10,000 new and retained jobs.

Anthony is the former Deputy Supervisor for the Town of Brookhaven – New York’s second largest municipality. During his tenure he was a senior member of the Town’s management team with cross functional leadership responsibility of its more than 2,000 employees and $250 million budget.In that role he managed a portfolio of expanding businesses generating over $1 billion in capital investments from businesses seeking to expand and relocate.  Anthony previously worked as a fundraiser and communications professional.

He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Stony Brook University.  He is a member of the Board of Directors for Soundview Pregnancies Services, which runs several pregnancy crisis centers on Long Island.  He is also active in his local church and is married with two children.
