Hurricane Sandy Recovery Update

Storm Recovery News & FEMA Aid Available

Cuomo: NY state homeowners get reprieve from paying Sandy-related insurance deductibles

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that the New York State Department of Financial Services has told the insurance industry that hurricane deductibles should not be part of this storm because Sandy did not have sustained hurricane-force winds when it made land in New York.  (read on…)

Federal Storm Aid Available for NYC, NJ, L.I. Residents

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says federal funding is being made available to storm-affected residents and business owners in New York City, parts of New Jersey and on Long Island.  (Apply Here…) 

On Wednesday night, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo declared a transportation emergency and said all fares on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’scommuter trains, subways and buses would be waived on Thursday and Friday. (read on…)

AT&T, T-Mobile share networks to help Sandy victims with poor service
